Dr. Thiago Cavalcante

Dr. Thiago Cavalcante is deeply passionate about caring for children with complex medical and neurobehavioral needs and is a lead physician within Natural Kid Doc’s Neurothrive Program. He works closely with children and families navigating conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, ODD, tics, PANS/PANDAS, and other behavioral or developmental concerns.

With over 13 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Cavalcante began his career as a Medical Doctor in Brazil, where he specialized in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) medicine and worked extensively with pediatric patients. As an ENT specialist and cochlear implant surgeon, he cared for many children with hearing impairments and complex needs—an experience that shaped his thoughtful, patient, and detail-oriented approach to care. His training includes advanced fellowship experience in Switzerland, along with clinical work at internationally recognized institutions such as Harvard Medical School and Toronto General Hospital.

Over time, Dr. Cavalcante felt called to look deeper—to understand why children develop chronic symptoms and how to support long-term healing rather than simply managing diagnoses. This led him to pursue training in Naturopathic Medicine, where he completed a specialized pediatric internship and developed a strong interest in integrative, root-cause-focused care.

Today, Dr. Cavalcante blends his extensive background in conventional medicine with evidence-informed natural therapies to support children with complex neurological, behavioral, and emotional challenges. He is known for taking the time to truly listen, connect patterns, and partner closely with families—especially those who feel they’ve exhausted traditional options or are searching for a more comprehensive, individualized approach.
