What is naturopathic medicine?

Naturopathic Doctors (ND) are licensed physicians specializing in natural medicine. Licensed NDs attend an accredited 4-year naturopathic medical school, must pass professional board exams, and maintain a medical license to practice medicine.

Naturopathic physicians seek to restore and maintain optimum health in their patients by supporting the person's inherent self-healing process. There are a number of diagnostic and therapeutic modalities naturopathic physicians use when treating patients: clinical and laboratory diagnostic testing, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, counseling, naturopathic physical medicine, IVs and injection therapies, and prescription medicines.

Naturopathic medicine is distinguished by 6 principles:

  1. First do no harm
  2. The Healing power of nature
  3. Identify and treat the cause
  4. Treat the whole person
  5. Doctor as teacher
  6. Prevention

How do I know if one of the doctors at Natural Kid Doc is right for myself or my child?

We offer free 15 minute consultations. This is an excellent way to get to know us and see if we are a good fit for you and/or your child.

How long is a typical visit?

New patient visits are approximately 60-90 minutes. This ensures enough time to review all medical history, perform physical exams, order labs/imaging, and discuss the treatment plan.

Follow up visits and wellness exams are usually 45 minutes long.

Do you take insurance?

No, we do not accept insurance for office visits. However, we will provide you with a superbill necessary to submit to your insurance company. Some patients are reimbursed through out-of-network benefits.

We accept cash, checks, all major credit cards, including HSA and FSA credit cards.

What if I have a question or medical concern for the doctor?

Once you become a patient you will have access to a patient portal. This is an excellent way to get in touch with any of the doctors at Natural Kid Doc for questions or scheduling appointments.

What if I need a prescription or supplement refill?

For prescription refills, please contact your pharmacy and have them fax a refill request.

Supplement refills can be purchased in office or online at www.fullscript.com. If you order supplements online, they will be shipped directly to your home.

Do you offer same day appointments?

Yes! Natural Kid Doc is committed to offering patients excellent and timely healthcare. Same or next day appointments are available.

Do you offer family discount plans?

We know how important it is to provide care for the entire family!
